| Schmitz Press is pleased to announce that it has installed a new Heidelberg Speedmaster CD 102 six-color press. This new press will significantly increase the capacity of the pressroom at Schmitz, which currently has two six-color Speedmasters, one with both perfecting and aqueous coating capability, and one four-color Speedmaster, also with perfecting capability.
The new Speedmaster CD in-line six-color press with aqueous coater, offers not only tremendous productivity through automatic makereadies and fast, reliable production speeds (up to 15,000 sheets per hour), but also tremendous flexibility because of its ability to print a wide range of stocks, from very light paper to heavy board or boxes and even on plastic sheets or other non-absorbent materials.
Having three 40" six-color Speedmasters on the floor is really going to improve our efficiency and productivity and make press inspections a lot more convenient for our customers, especially during peak times, like annual report season, says president Paul Schmitz. Now we can print three different forms of a six-color annual report simultaneously while the financial form perfects on our four-color.
